Limestones

One of the most commonly used types of natural stone in construction is limestone. This type of material, generally of whitish and light tones, adapts to various uses in construction, being highly appreciated, for example, in the cladding of façades, both ventilated and glued.

They are considered sedimentary rocks, composed mainly of calcium carbonate, with traces of other materials such as magnesite, clays, quartz, etc., which can modify their colour and homogeneity. It is an abundant and diverse type of material all over the planet, one of the oldest used in architecture, as can be seen in most of the oldest monuments in the world. Limestone has also been traditionally used in construction as a component of mortars, stuccos or grouts.

Our limestones are available in a wide range of surface finishes, offering numerous textures with the same material. In addition to allowing a great diversity of formats as tiles, they can also be worked as irregular stone, cobblestone, masonry, ashlars, pre-assembled panels, etc., as you can see in our catalogue of materials.

They allow us to work all kinds of special pieces where we can give free rein to any type of design we wish. Among the numerous works carried out with the limestones of the Naturpiedra range, as you can see in our showroom, it is possible to make pieces such as washbasins, shower trays, countertops, street furniture, guttering, wall coverings, pool coping, balustrades, steps… Any decorative idea that we transmit, it is possible to make it with this type of materials.
