Indoor floorings

The use of natural stone in interiors dates back thousands of years. The great variety of natural stone provides the interior of the building with an unparalleled aesthetic, beauty and functionality.

Natural stone in interiors sought to ennoble rooms by combining the immense variety of shades and surface finishes, and even forming authentic works of art on floors, with different geometric shapes without aesthetic or artistic limits.

Once again, technical advances in production have managed to make quality interior flooring cheaper and more affordable so that it can be designed for any building, leaving aside the luxury that this type of work used to involve.

Its use in cathedrals, palaces, noble dwellings, to cite a few examples, which have survived to the present day, is a great example of the durability of this type of use of natural stone.

As in any type of installation, it is very important to take into account, in order to avoid future problems, the thickness of the stone, a suitable bonding and grouting material for each type of stone, the chosen texture, as in wet areas such as bathrooms it is important to have a non-slip surface finish, and the type of stone according to the use it is going to be given.

Once you have chosen the optimum material and installation, you will obtain a high quality, long-lasting and timeless flooring, classic and far from the dictatorship of fashion; it even ages elegantly, with simple maintenance and cleaning with few chemical products.

Another aspect that is of great importance in interiors is an optimal placement, to avoid the appearance of eyebrows and a suitable combination of the different shades that can appear in the natural stone. Naturpiedra’s own tilers, due to their many years of professionalism in this type of installation, manage to perfectly combine this type of material with an optimum installation.

The most commonly used natural stones in interior flooring due to their hardness, aesthetics and the possibility of countless textures are: Marble, granite, phyllite, slate, limestone, quartzite and basalt.
