SPLITS FOR CLADDING

One of the earliest uses of natural stone in traditional construction is wall cladding with blocks or slabs in the manner of masonry.

Traditionally, slate is stone bricks sized within a tolerance to achieve the authentic aesthetic of a wall made of natural stone. They can have all-natural faces or sawn sides to facilitate installation. Due to their variable dimensions, the expert hand of a stonemason is needed for proper installation; the most common method is dry stone walling where the adhesive material is placed behind and the stone is placed flush, with no visible joints. They can also be installed with cement. They are ideal for chalet cladding, outdoor enclosures, gardens, providing the highest quality and robustness in this type of cladding.

Slate panels, in new prefabricated formats, with resin-bonded stone strips forming a dimensioned panel, allow for minimum thicknesses of 1 or 2 cm in many models. Their great advantage is the speed and ease of installation. We offer rectangular formats and also a Z-shaped format to make the pattern less visible. They are ideal for interior decoration, baseboards, fireplaces, bathrooms, providing an unmistakable touch of natural stone inside a home. As they are natural slate, each piece is unique, offering a variety of tones and textures absent in artificial imitations.

Stonepanels or tiles with minimal thickness and small dimensions, such as 30x10cm, are especially suitable for interior cladding. Their installation is very easy and their light weight makes them suitable when the substrate cannot bear heavy loads.

Narrow stone strips are ideal for avoiding pattern repetitions as they can be supplied in free lengths or fixed formats. They have a minimal thickness to achieve a modern and minimalist aesthetic.
