fue el Rey Felipe II, quien durante sus viajes por Flandes y Alemania entre 1556 y 1559 pudo apreciar tejados cubiertos de pizarra. Y hame parecido que ser\u00e1 mejor hacer los tejados agros, a la manera de los de estos estados, y cubrirlos de pizarra, que como habeis visto son muy lucidos&#8230;\u00bb<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-bc51733 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"bc51733\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8169ed6\" data-id=\"8169ed6\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0da1446 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0da1446\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row margen-b-20\"><p>Fue entre 1559 y 1562 cuando llegaron a Bernardos pizarreros procedentes de toda Europa, para realizar las obras reales bajo encargo de Su Majestad Felipe II, empizarrando en primer lugar el Palacio del Bosque de Valsa\u00edn, el palacio de El Pardo y el Real Alcazar de Madrid, para continuar con la obra cumbre de su reinado: el monasterio de San Lorenzo de el Escorial. Se eligio entonces esta pizarra de Bernardos por su calidad, gran dureza as\u00ed como su color plomizo y veteado con car\u00e1cter propio. Desde entonces la pizarra se convirti\u00f3 en uno de los principales materiales de construcci\u00f3n, estando presente en algunas de las m\u00e1s bellas obras de la historia de la arquitectura Espa\u00f1ola.<\/p><p>Seg\u00fan argumenta en el pr\u00f3logo del libro editado por Naturpiedra Jbernardos: \u201cValor hist\u00f3rico y arquitect\u00f3nico de las pizarras de Bernardos\u201d, Jes\u00fas Bernardos Bartolom\u00e9, fundador de la empresa, tomamos con orgullo y gran responsabilidad este legado.
